It withstands thermal cycling and has excellent shock resistance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Applications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ideal for electronics potting and encapsulation applications, as well as underfilling and reworking microchips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Features<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Excellent adhesive strength<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Excellent resistance to vibration<\/li>\n<li>Easy to use \u2013 no mixing required<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Low viscosity<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Surface Preparation<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Surfaces should be clean, dry and grease-free before applying the adhesive. Use a suitable solvent (such as acetone or isopropanol) for the degreasing of surfaces.<\/li>\n<li>Some metals such as aluminium, copper and its alloys will benefit from light abrasion with emery cloth (or similar), to remove the oxide layer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Directions for Use<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>The adhesive should be dispensed from the cartridge via the nozzle supplied (this can be cut to give the appropriately sized bead to cover the bond area).<\/li>\n<li>Apply the adhesive to one surface and avoid entrapping air.<\/li>\n<li>Assemble parts applying sufficient pressure to ensure the adhesive spreads to cover the entire bond area.<\/li>\n<li>Use a jig\/clamp to prevent parts from moving during cure.<\/li>\n<li>It is advisable not to disturb the joint until the adhesive is fully cured.<\/li>\n<li>Cure with heat \u2013 see page one for cure schedule<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div>Permabond ES560 is a single-part epoxy adhesive which flows when heated.
